Jason Hudson

Interim Chief Executive Officer

With more than 20 years of multidisciplinary healthcare experience, Jason joined the HealthSouth Tinton Falls administrative team in 2017 as Interim CEO. Jason previously served as nurse manager and director of quality and risk management at HealthSouth Midland in Texas before moving into the associate administrator role at HealthSouth Concord in New Hampshire. He holds an associate and bachelor’s degree in nursing from Angelo State University, and multiple specialty nursing certifications, including the distinction of Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse.

Cooperman

Todd Cooperman, M.D., FAAPMR

Medical Director

Dr. Cooperman is a graduate of the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at The City College of New York and The State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. He completed his internship at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut, an affiliate of the Yale University School of Medicine and New York Medical College, and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. He has been the medical director of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls since 2005. Additionally, he serves as the section chief of the department of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Monmouth Medical Center and is a clinical assistant professor of medicine in the department of medicine, Drexel University College of Medicine. He received the 2007 HealthSouth Medical Leadership award and the 2011 HealthSouth Medical Director of the Year Award. He was honored as a 2012 New Jersey Monthly Jersey Choice Top Doctor.

Todd Cooperman, M.D. is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.

Sarina Brady

Sarina Brady, MA, OTR/L

Director of Therapy Operations

Sarina oversees HealthSouth Tinton Falls’ on-site inpatient and outpatient therapy services as well as the rehabilitation services at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, N.J. Sarina received her master’s degree in occupational therapy from New York University and her bachelor’s degree in biology from Villanova University. Sarina joins HealthSouth Tinton Falls from the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, following 13 years in the inpatient rehabilitation setting, where she most recently served as clinical manager of the brain injury unit. In addition to extensive continuing education, Sarina has presented at local, regional and national forums on topics such as traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury, medication management, cognitive rehabilitation, evaluation and treatment of visual impairments, burns, caregiver training and community reintegration. She has been published on the treatment of burns in Advance for OT. Sarina holds a specialty certification in administration of the A-ONE (Arnadottir OT-ADL Neurobehavioral Evaluation).

Cheryl Halpin

Cheryl Halpin MPH, RN, CMAC

Director of Case Management

Cheryl joined HealthSouth in July 2013 with more than 30 years of experience in acute care discharge planning and case management. Throughout her career she has held various clinical and management positions, most recently director of case management and social services at Raritan Bay Medical Center. She holds a master’s degree in public health administration from the University of Medicine and Dentistry and received Certification in Case Management Administration in 2011. Cheryl is a member of both the national and New Jersey chapters of the Case Management Society of America, as well as the American Case Management Association. She is committed to improving transitions of care for our patients and has fostered excellent working relationships with the acute care hospitals, post acute facilities, the VNA and many other community organizations.

Cindy Lowenstein

Cindy Lowenstein, MA, MSN, APN-BC, CCRN-K

Chief Nursing Officer

Cindy joined HeathSouth Tinton Falls in 2015 as the Hospital Educator and was promoted to chief nursing officer in 2017. She brings more than 30 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience in acute care, long term acute care and community settings. Cindy received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Seton Hall University, a master’s degree in nursing administration from New York University and a master’s degree as an adult nurse practitioner from Seton Hall University. She is certified in critical care nursing (CCRN).

Keith Mosley

Keith Mosley

Director of Plant Operations

Keith joined HealthSouth Tinton Falls in the spring of 2017 with more than 20 years of experience in project management and safety compliance in healthcare. He began his career in long term care working as a supervisor of housekeeping while in college. During this time, Keith continually grew in his role as he furthered his education and worked his way up to a director position. His healthcare experience includes skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living. Keith obtained his bachelor’s degree in business management from New Jersey City State University.

Doug Powell

Douglas Powell

Business Development Director

Doug has extensive business development experience where he has most recently served as regional director of sales and marketing for Preferred Care Partners Management Group. In addition, he secured Accountable Care Organization preferred provider status for multiple skilled nursing facilities. Doug’s healthcare experience covers a broad spectrum including ambulance services, independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing facilities. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Monmouth University and is a Mesa, Arizona, leadership graduate.

Shilpan Shah

Shilpan Shah, MD

Medical Staff President

Dr. Shilpan Shah has been a member of the internal medicine medical staff at HealthSouth Tinton Falls since 2007. He was elected and has served as the hospital’s medical staff president since 2016. Board certified in internal medicine, he completed his residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey, and has been a member of the medical staff there since 2007. In addition, he has served at HealthSouth Toms River since 2016.

Reeya Shah

Reeya Shah, PharmD

Director of Pharmacy

Reeya oversees the inpatient pharmacy services at HealthSouth Tinton Falls. She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and started her career with the HealthSouth network as a pharmacy intern in Virginia in 2007. In 2009, she joined the team at HealthSouth Tinton Falls. She takes pride in the extensive pharmacy involvement with patients, physicians and nurses in an acute rehabilitation setting. In addition, she is committed to improve medication management , increase awareness of appropriate use of antimicrobials and promote safe use of medications.

Lori Skowrenski

Lori Skowrenski

Director of Human Resources

Lori Skowrenski brings 26 years of experience in human resources with more than 10 years as a human resources director. She completed a master’s degree in business management, a PHR designation and her undergraduate degree in business. Lori has worked for various companies to gain her expertise and wealth of information from companies such as Prudential, Credit Union of New Jersey and Navicore, and has also worked in HR consulting. Lori has been with HealthSouth Tinton Falls as director of human resources since March 2017. She brings value to the hospital’s staffing, onboarding, coaching, development and employee engagement processes.
