HealthSouth Tinton Falls Achieves Recertification for Five Rehabilitation Programs
TINTON FALLS, N.J. – HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls has earned certification for Disease-Specific Care in five key rehabilitation programs: stroke, hip fracture, brain injury, cardiac and pulmonary. The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™ was awarded to the hospital for its compliance with the organization’s national standards for healthcare quality and safety in disease-specific care.
“By choosing to have The Joint Commission evaluate our rehabilitation programs, we are making a significant investment in quality on a day-to-day basis. The Joint Commission certification provides us a framework to take our hospital to the next level and helps create a culture of excellence,” said HealthSouth Tinton Falls CEO Suji Thomas RN, MSN, MBA-HCM. “This is a major step toward continually improving the care we provide to offer our patients peace of mind knowing they are getting quality care at the industry’s highest standard.”
To earn these certifications, the five rehabilitation programs underwent an extensive, on-site evaluation by a team of Joint Commission reviewers. The programs were evaluated against Joint Commission standards through an assessment of the programs’ processes, the programs’ ability to evaluate and improve care within its own organization, and interviews with patients and staff.
